  • At Avanti House Secondary School, PRE is central to developing pupils’ understanding of the world and their place within it. We are seeking a Teacher of PRE who can bring the subject to life through thoughtful teaching and a commitment to high standards.     What will you do?
    • Deliver high-quality PRE lessons that are well-planned, inclusive and adapted to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring strong progress and outcomes.
    • Use assessment effectively to monitor attainment, provide clear feedback and shape teaching that builds on pupils’ prior knowledge and understanding.
    • Create a safe, respectful and purposeful learning environment, maintaining high expectations of behaviour, engagement and pupil independence.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents and external partners to support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
    • Contribute positively to the wider life, ethos and safeguarding culture of the school, engaging fully in professional development and school responsibilities.

    What are we looking for?
    • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject 
    • Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
    • Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
    • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
    • Experience of delivering KS4/KS5 is desirable
