Please note: This is a one-year fixed-term maternity cover position, likely to be based in Upper Key Stage 2.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher to join Krishna Avanti Primary School, someone who is committed to inspiring young minds and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
You will play a key role in nurturing pupils’ curiosity, confidence and love of learning, while setting high expectations and supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
Working closely with colleagues, families and the wider school community, you will build strong, respectful relationships and create meaningful learning experiences that support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

What will you do?
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, building on their prior knowledge, abilities and individual learning needs.
- Take responsibility for pupils’ attainment, progress and wellbeing through effective assessment, feedback, differentiation and high expectations.
- Establish a safe, purposeful and respectful learning environment, managing behaviour consistently and promoting pupils’ confidence, independence and positive attitudes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and external partners to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, while contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- Uphold the professional responsibilities of a teacher, including safeguarding, professional development, effective communication, accurate administration and compliance with relevant statutory requirements and school policies.
